Portraits

To capture strong portrait photography, trust must be established between the subject and the photographer. My approach is to try and put people at their ease. I like to be calm and relaxed while I’m working with people. I like to hear their stories and get an understanding of them before the shutter is pressed. Portraiture for me, is a shared experience. I tell them a little bit about my life, they tell a little bit of their life to me. This provides the basis for a portrait.
